Joseph Warren Culbreth was the third son of Thomas Culbreth and Ann Eliza Peabody. He was a successful farmer and timber merchant. He married his second cousin, Elizabeth Young McNeill on February 22, 1888. Joseph served as Postmaster at the Moss Neck Depot until his early death in 1900.
